They have made a name for themselves by establishing their own original sound   a blend of modern and traditional country music with a rockabilly influence. Their sound appeals to young and old alike\, and their love of performing and dedication to preserving traditional country music makes each of their shows a unique experience for their fans.\n\nOver the years\, Jerry and his band have opened for numerous national acts including: Joe Nichols\, Lee Brice\, Randy Houser\, John Conley\, Cross Canadian Ragweed\, the Oak Ridge Boys\, Lorrie Morgan\, Danielle Peck\, Merle Haggard\, and Joe Diffie.\n\nJerry and his band have been recognized with many awards and titles over the years\, including being crowned the 2007 State Country Band Champions by the HODAG Country Music Festival. In addition to playing at many festivals\, he has also entertained at dozens of bars\, beer tents\, county fairs\, casinos\, and rodeos across the Midwest and the United States.\n\nJerry and his band have had the opportunity to play in Nashville numerous times at such legendary locales as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge\, 12th & Porter\, Swinging Doors Bar & Grill\, Honky-Tonk Central\, and the historic Ryman Auditorium.\n\nThe Jerry Schmitt Band consists of an all-star cast of talented musicians that bring an electrifying presence to the stage with many years of experience. The band showcases steel guitar\, fiddle\, keyboard / organ\, lead guitar\, rhythm guitar\, bass guitar\, and drums.
