SUMMARY:Lincoln County Social Connection Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Join the Lincoln County Social Connection Challenge! This initiative is organized by the Healthy Minds for Lincoln County Coalition\, Aspirus Merrill Hospital and Lincoln County Health Department in observance of Mental Health Month. The Social Connection Challenge runs from May through June and encourages community members to prioritize social connection by limiting screen time\, reaching out to friends\, family and neighbors\, seeking opportunities to help others and finding ways to get involved in your community. Participate in the challenge on your own or with family\, friends or a group. The key is doing activities with others. The Healthy Minds Coalition developed a challenge form with a list of activities that focus on connecting with others. Once a person completes 20 activities they can return the challenge form via hard copy or electronically and be entered in a drawing to win a $50 Merrill or Tomahawk Chamber Gift Certificate. Forms must be returned by July 11th. 40 winners will be contacted the week of July 21st. Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Health Department\, T.B. Scott Free Library\, Tomahawk Public Library or Aspirus Merrill and Tomahawk locations. An electronic form is also available on the health department's website.
