DESCRIPTION:Church Mutual is holding the Annual monthly meeting for Christain professionals around the area called Merrill Marketplace Ministry.  These meetings are held on Church Mutual grounds\, weather permitting it will be on the front lawn\, next to the Reflection Center (the small white church building).  In case of poor weather\, we will be inside of the Reflection Center.\n\n\n\nThe month of July\, the meeting will be on July 19th at Noon.  The speaker will be Dr. George Koonce - former Green Bay Packer.  He will be sharing his story and lessons for life that he has learned.  \n\n\n\nGeorge E. Koonce\, Jr.\, Ph.D.\n\nGeorge Koonce played professional football for a decade\, the majority of those years with the Green Bay Packers\, winning the Super Bowl XXXI title.  Since his playing career ended\, he served as Director of Player Development for the Packers\, Senior Associate Athletic Director\, as well as Director of Development at Marquette University\, and Athletic Director at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.\n\n\n\nKoonce received his PhD. from Marquette University with his doctoral dissertation focusing on "Role Transition of National Football League Players: Using the Grounded Theory."  His guest column on the same topic on the NFL blog received national notice and raised awareness for the problems faced by retired NFL players.  He is a member of the NFL Player Engagement Advisory Board and has recently co-authored a book titled\, Is There Life After Football.: Surviving the NFL.\n\n\n\nDr. Koonce is the co-host\, along with Burke Griffin\, on the "Locker Room Live" show and the "Green and Gold Game Day Live" both shows air on WFRV-Channel 5 based in Green Bay - during the Green Bay Packer playing Season.\n\n\n\nDr. Koonce also serves on the board of Church Mutual Regent.  Church Mutual Insurance Company is a leading commercial property and liability insurance company dedicated to serving public and private K-12 schools\, colleges and universities.\n\n\n\nCurrently Dr. Koonce serves as the senior Vice President of University Relations at Marian University\, where he provides leadership and strategic direction and is responsible for growing awareness and increasing philanthropic support for Marian University through community and alumni engagement.
