DESCRIPTION:Merrill School Forest Family Fun Day!!!\n\nSaturday\, January 25\, 2025  from 10am to 3pm\n\nA chance for families to enjoy the great outdoors and try different winter activities.\n\n**Free equipment rentals\, no admission fee and free food\n\nActivities include:\n\n*  Explore our outdoor historic logging museum\n\n*  Wild Instincts "Where the Wild Things Heal" from Rhinelander\, WI  *This presentation is with live animals!!!  (1-2pm inside the lodge)\n\n*  Live historic logging demonstration with Steve Lee and his horses!  (11-12pm outside in the lower parking lot)\n\n*  Cross Country Skiing (last departure time at 2pm)\n\n*  Snowshoeing\n\n*  Sledding\n\n*  Human Foosball\n\n*  Campfire - Roast a marshmallow or two!!\n\n*  Tour the Animal Museum\, and our Wisconsin Logging History Museum\n\n*  Tour the Cordwood Education Center\n\n\n\nLunch/snacks available in the main lodge from 11am to 12:30pm.\n\n\n\nThis event is subject to change or be cancelled due to harsh weather and/or lack of snow.\n\nUpdates and/or cancellations will be posted on the "Merrill School Forest" Facebook page... like us to get notifications.\n\n\n\nThe Merrill School Forest is located on HWY 107 (10 miles north of Merrill) across from Camp New Wood County Park.  Cell phones rarely work at the forest.  The lodge phone number is 715-536-8248.  Parking at the forest is limited.   Additional parking is available across the road at Camp New Wood County Park.
