DESCRIPTION:Greetings. We are Guardians of the Children (GOC) Northern Lights Chapter serving northern Wisconsin since 2017. We are a children's advocacy organization\, a registered 501(c)3 charity that helps victims of child abuse by providing social\, emotional\, and physical safety and support.\n\nWe are hosting a FREE public event\, and would like to invite you to join us at PINWHEELS FOR PREVENTION \n\nEvery year in support of National Child Abuse Prevention month in April\, we plant one pinwheel for every confirmed case of child abuse and neglect. Pinwheels represent "childlike whimsy and light-heartedness and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy\, healthy\, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities."\n\nLast year in 2024\, there were seventy reported cases of child abuse and/or neglect in Lincoln County\, Wisconsin. So please join us and plant a pinwheel as a reminder that we all play a role in children's lives because childhood lasts a lifetime. Light refreshments provided. Not all heroes wear capes.
