SUMMARY:What IF? - Join a Discussion of Merrill's Future
DESCRIPTION:Here is your chance to be a part of Constructing the Future of Greater Merrill\, a civil\, open and entertaining discussion weighing Merrill's assets and challenges\, beginning with the future of our "built community."\n\n\n\nThese discussion sessions will give regular folks an opportunity to talk in small groups\, with facilitators listening and taking notes\, to share\, listen and explore issues big and small. Consensus and decisions are not expected - the goal is to bring ideas out into the open. Fair-game topics for the "built community" discussion will include our community's housing stock\, code enforcement\, how historic buildings are valued and how to encourage rehabilitation and new construction. \n\n\n\nThis is the first of several Community Discussions planned to be held at T.B. Scott Free Library\, guided by IF - the Interactivity Foundation\, a non-partisan nonprofit working to increase citizen engagement and participation in their communities\, with support from the library and the Wisconsin Institute of Public Policy (WIPPS).\n\n\n\nReservations are not required\, but will be greatly appreciated to help meal and program planning. Call WIPPS at 715-218-0284 or the library at 715-536-7191 to make a reservation. There is no admission fee or charge to participate.\n\n\n\nThe IF (Interactivity Foundation) community Discussions are part of T.B. Scott Free Library's Words Worth Hearing series. Words Worth Hearing supporters include the Checkered Churn and First Street coffee Station. Call the library at 715-536-7191 or check www.tbscottlibrary.org to find out more about library events and services.
