The 75th yearly Christmas pageant is taken over by the 6 Herdman children, who happen to be the most feared and delinquent family in town. The children, led by the oldest and meanest, Imogene, insert themselves into the leading roles. The new director, who is the narrator’s mom, is hoping they learn more about the meaning of Christmas through the pageant.
