Raise the Flag over our New Site!
Join the Northwoods Veterans Post as they Raise the Flag over their new Site! This is the kickoff to the Veterans Raise the Flag Capital Campaign. Our Need - Our current VFW Post 1638 building located at 205 North Cleveland was built in 1904. while this building has served us well for many years, it has crippled our ability to serve the growing needs of our veterans. The building doesn't have the ability to accommodate anyone with specials needs or disabilities. It also has limited seating, a limited parking capacity, and there are escalating maintenance and utility costs.
Our Vision - Enhance and improve our veteran's emotional, physical, social and educational health. Encourage relationships with other veterans, provide service to our community and promote physical fitness. Empower our veterans through educational opportunities and the essential role of continuing service to our community, state and nation. Prepare for the furture of veteran care ans support safeguarding the entitlements for all veterans.
