Position Title: Member Engagement & Office Manager

Position Summary
The Member Engagement & Office Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the mission of the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce. This individual will be responsible for driving member engagement, managing Chamber programs, promoting tourism, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office.Key Responsibilities
Member Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Chamber members to enhance satisfaction and retention.- Coordinate membership recruitment initiatives and onboarding of new members.
- Serve as the primary contact for members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Plan and execute member appreciation events and networking opportunities.
- Regularly update member directories and databases to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Programs Management
- Design, implement, and manage Chamber programs and initiatives that align with the organization’s strategic goals.- Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify new program opportunities based on member needs and community priorities.
- Oversee event planning for programs, including logistics, budgeting, and promotion.
- Track and report on program performance, ensuring alignment with the Chamber’s objectives.
Tourism Promotion
- Act as an ambassador for the Merrill area, promoting local attractions, businesses, and events to visitors.- Collaborate with regional tourism organizations and partners to enhance tourism outreach.
- Work closely with the City of Merrill's Tourism Commission to align tourism initiatives, share resources, and maximize promotional efforts. Attend commission meetings as needed to provide updates, seek input, and ensure collaboration on tourism-related projects.
- Work with the Chamber’s Marketing Director to develop and share tourism-related content for the Chamber’s website, brochures, and social media platforms.
- Assist in creating promotional campaigns to attract tourists and highlight the Merrill area’s unique offerings.
- Maintain and update visitor resources and ensure they reflect current and relevant information.
Office Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the Chamber office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Support the Executive Director with administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence.
- Assist with tracking, invoicing, and reporting as needed.
- Coordinate with volunteers and interns to enhance office support and community engagement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with post-secondary training or certification in business administration, communications, tourism, or a related field preferred.- Prior experience in a Chamber of Commerce, nonprofit organization, or membership-based association is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of the Merrill area’s business community, attractions, and regional tourism opportunities.
