About Us

Camp New Wood County Park is a 15.7 acre facility located 10 miles northwest of Merrill along the Wisconsin River on scenic State Highway 107. The campground consists of 7 sites, each with a gravel pad, fire ring and picnic table. There are vault toilets for restrooms and a hand pump well provides potable water.

All sites have recently been upgraded with electric hookups. Sites 1-5 have up to 50 amp service, sites 6&7 have up to 30 amp service.

Camping is $35.00 per night with cut and split firewood provided, please don't bring your own.
Only 2 vehicles allowed per site.

Camping is available April 15 - December 15.

The campground is connected to the day use park by a walking bridge across Ripley Creek. The day use area of the park has playground equipment, a picnic area, gravel boat landing with kayak launch, grills, 2 pavilions (may be reserved for a fee), water pump and toilets. The park also includes the scenic Grandfather Falls Segment of the Ice Age Trail.
Note: No access to ATV/UTV trails exist from this location. Highway 107 is not open to ATV/UTV use
