The Underdown Recreation Area is located approximately 13 miles northeast of Merrill off Copper Lake Avenue.
About Us
The Underdown campground is located in the Underdown Recreation Area 13 miles northeast of Merrill on Copper Lake Avenue. Ten sites are available for camping. A hand pump well is available for potable water with pit toilets near the camping area.
Camping fee is $25.00 per night.
Firewood is provided but you must bring your own saw.
Only 2 vehicles allowed per site.
Summer recreation opportunites include horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking a segment of the Ice Age Trail and fishing at various lakes. Fall hunting opportunities also exist in this area.
Note: ATV/UTV riding is not allowed in the campground/trailhead area.
